Siftree Compete vs Competely: market analysis and current battlecards
Compare Siftree Compete and Competely for competitor analysis, ongoing monitoring, strategic briefs, and maintaining sourced claims for active sales conversations.
The short answer
Should you choose Siftree Compete or Competely for competitive analysis?
Prioritize Competely when you want broad AI competitor analysis across positioning, features, pricing, marketing, and customer signals, followed by ongoing briefs. Consider Siftree Compete when the required workflow connects monitored changes to sourced battlecard edits and open-deal context. Both support continuing monitoring. Decide whether the immediate need is a strategic market picture, maintained sales evidence, or both.
Competely offers both a snapshot and continuing monitoring
Competely's product guide describes a sourced comparison across marketing, product, pricing and other dimensions, exports, and continuing briefs. It should not be framed as a one-time analysis with no monitoring. The broad market picture can be useful for founders and marketers deciding where to investigate.
Siftree Compete organizes the work around monitored changes, sourced battlecard drafts, internal evidence and affected deals. Our assessment is that the distinction is the final operating output: a maintained competitive picture and brief, or a reviewed change carried to a seller's work. Neither output removes the need to verify a claim.
Monitoring a change is different from refreshing the whole analysis
Competely's pricing documentation distinguishes scheduled briefs from rerunning the comparison table. A useful ongoing briefing does not automatically mean every cell in the original snapshot has been regenerated. Preserve the analysis date and scope when reusing an exported comparison.
| Decision | Siftree Compete | Competely |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Define monitored change and intended sales action | Enter product and select suggested or chosen competitors |
| Evidence | Changed sources alongside internal context | Source-linked comparison and change briefs |
| Deliver | Draft card update and deal relevance | Side-by-side analysis, exports and recipient briefs |
| Maintain | Watchlist, claims, approvals and deal fields | Project identity, competitors, reruns and briefing recipients |
The project-limit guide defines active projects, annual new-project caps, competitors per project and analysis runs in a rolling 30-day window. Deleting a project frees active capacity without undoing its creation against the annual cap. This matters for agencies rotating client work or teams repeatedly replacing product/competitor sets.
Proposed evaluation: the original table contains a retired claim
Choose a well-understood competitor, a known recent change, and an older claim that is now wrong. Include a renamed plan, similarly named company, and a cosmetic website update. Supply an existing card and relevant permitted deal context. This is a proposed evaluation, not an observed benchmark.
Require the analysis to identify the correct product and source date. Verify important cells against primary pages, including plan-specific qualifications. For subsequent monitoring, inspect whether the brief identifies the actual change and links its source. Then check when the original comparison becomes current after a rerun.
Ask a product marketer to use the market view and a seller to use the revised claim. Require unknown facts to remain unknown; a missing feature mention does not prove absence. For any proposed deal connection, require the specific buyer requirement. Set tolerances for stale cells, unsupported comparisons, duplicate alerts, wrong-deal matches, and reviewer minutes beforehand.
Budget projects, reruns and cadence
At the October 20, 2026 review, Competely lists monthly Starter at $39, Pro at $59, and Scale at $99. Starter includes three active projects, up to ten competitors per project, three analysis runs monthly, one user and briefs every two weeks. Higher tiers change limits and offer weekly briefs. Confirm billing term, recipient limits and the rolling-window treatment in current terms.
Choose Competely when self-serve structured market analysis and recurring briefs meet the requirement. Evaluate Siftree when the deliverable is a reviewed competitive claim maintained with internal sales context.
