Siftree Answers vs Ahrefs Brand Radar: prompt research and ongoing action
Compare Siftree Answers and Ahrefs Brand Radar for broad AI visibility research, custom prompt tracking, citation evidence, and reviewed content improvements.
The short answer
Should you choose Siftree Answers or Ahrefs Brand Radar?
Prioritize Ahrefs Brand Radar when you want to combine its existing AI visibility index with custom prompt tracking and research across AI answers, YouTube, and Reddit. Consider Siftree Answers when your immediate requirement is a recurring buyer-question analysis connected to approved product facts and a drafted page correction. Both support tracking specific questions. Compare the evidence and next action each gives your editor, not simply the breadth of its research index.
Brand Radar includes custom tracking
Ahrefs Brand Radar offers an AI Visibility Index and Custom Prompts, alongside research into answers, cited pages, fanout queries, YouTube, and Reddit. It would be wrong to describe it as only a precomputed database. The index is useful for discovery; the custom set is useful for monitoring a defined buyer question.
Siftree Answers organizes a recurring task around buyer questions, saved answers and citations, comparison with approved product facts, and a drafted page fix. Our assessment is that the meaningful decision is how much research breadth you need and how each finding becomes an editorial action.
Count checks, not just questions
Ahrefs' Custom Prompts documentation allows daily, weekly, or monthly tracking and meters checks by platform, location, and update. It notes that Claude consumes eight checks per update. A hundred questions across several locations and platforms is not a hundred monthly checks.
| Decision | Siftree Answers | Ahrefs Brand Radar |
|---|---|---|
| Research entry | Your buyer-question and approved-fact task | Existing index or custom prompts |
| Investigation | Saved answer, citation and identified claim mismatch | AI responses, cited pages and fanout research |
| Editorial output | Draft correction tied to the finding | Research to prioritize content opportunities |
| Maintenance | Fact sheet, prompt set and review workflow | Prompt tags, platforms, locations, cadence and allowances |
Both can monitor selected questions. Neither an index total nor a sampled answer establishes the probability that every buyer will see a recommendation. Keep research-index findings separate from the tracked panel's observations.
Proposed evaluation: discover, monitor, then decide
Choose real questions in branded, category and use-case groups, with approved competitor aliases. Include a known stale specification and a question where omission may be reasonable. Preserve the same engine, location, language, dates, and cadence for comparable observations. This is a proposed procedure.
Use the index to identify candidate gaps, then monitor the agreed custom set. Require the reviewer to open the original answer and exact cited page. Separate mention presence, linked citation, and factual correctness. Repeat questions and keep variation visible rather than reporting only the most favorable answer.
Ask an editor to identify a justified correction and a recommendation that should be rejected. Require new claims to be grounded in the approved fact sheet. Choose thresholds for mistaken brand matches, missed known factual errors, unsupported edits, and review effort before examining output. Track publishing dates and later observations without attributing all movement to one change.
Commercial and operating implications
At the October 20, 2026 check, the Custom Prompts page lists included allowances for paid Ahrefs plans and a $50/month add-on for 2,500 checks, with overage at $0.020 per check. The Brand Radar research index is a separate purchasing consideration. Confirm applicable subscription prerequisites and the total check demand before comparing prices.
Assign owners for changing prompts, brand aliases, locations, and product facts. A newly launched product can require both a fact-sheet update and a revised monitoring set; those are different operations.
Prioritize Ahrefs when index-based discovery and custom tracking fit your research process. Evaluate Siftree when the main recurring output is a supported correction ready for editorial review.
