Building the next generation of human intelligence

Siftree was created because social media conversations have increased at a rate that outpaced the ability to find and distill definitive, truthful conclusions across billions of comments. To understand this further, it's best to start from the beginning.

history of social media

In the early-mid 2000's, the internet was rapidly growing, with new social media sites generating more content than ever before. It was impossible to know:

  • What was trending online

  • If somebody talked about or mentioned a something emerging

  • If there was a PR crisis that needed to be addressed

  • What companies/competitors were saying at scale

Social listening companies such as Talkwalker and Brandwatch emerged, scraping social media sites to provide solutions for companies, addressing the 4 problems mentioned above.

Around 2008, having social media became a requirement, but posting content and managing multiple inboxes became a hassle. Social media management companies, such as Buffer, Sprout Social, and Hootsuite emerged, giving companies the ability to schedule posts, respond to comments, and manage their social content from a single place.

Fast forward a decade to the 2020's. We are now collecting 1st party data at the same magnitude as the entire social media landscape 20 years ago. There are billions of conversations happening across earth, but traditional search engines completely disregard them and social listening/social media management tools are strictly reserved for companies, costing tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

Siftree wants to democratize access to what the world is talking about online while ensuring everyone (individuals and companies) are able to synthesize truthful conclusions, across any site, at scale. This requires 3 things:

  • Contextualized understanding of all human conversations

  • A powerful search engine capable of sifting through billions of conversations, retrieving conclusive results in real-time.

  • Ability to search across all sources, ability to search across specific sources, and the ability to search within your own (1st party connected) sources.

Siftree utilizes embedding models, the same technology that powers ChatGPT, to transform social media comments and chats into numerical representations called embeddings. This technology integrates the capabilities of large language models (LLMs) directly into the search process, allowing Siftree to make more intelligent queries than traditional keyword-based methods we're used to. This sophisticated approach will enhance future search and intelligence processes with the most pertinent and relevant human information.

Siftree's flagship Singularity Model, which powers the search engine is currently available for enterprises via API. This gives companies the ability to distill conclusive insights across all forms of text. The public search engine will be released soon.
